What The W actually is
The problem: College is the last time life automatically puts you in rooms with interesting people. After that, serendipity has to be scheduled — and most people just stop trying. Cities lack true social infrastructure.
The solution: Walkins is social infrastructure for the real world. It is an AI layer that does what college did — puts you in the right room, with the right people, at the right time — but for cities. Both intertwined — the product follows you from college directly into city life.
Campus (where you are now)
A Yik Yak or Fizz-style anonymous live chat, with a college events feed right next to it. People come for the confessions, stay for the events. We build habits, trust, and a core user base — on your own campus first, then expanding to others.
City AI Social Layer
The same app grows up. Events are now city-wide. The AI doesn't just list them — it matches you to the right ones, creates hangouts itself, and personally invites you. You simply show up, and you meet people. No social engineering required on your end.
Social Graph & Dating
Because people meet IRL first, the connections are real. The app becomes the place you text after the event, see mutual connections across the city, and optionally match for dating. This isn't swiping on complete strangers — it is connecting with people you've already been in a room with.
The Membership Model
You pay to get invites in the app. The rest of the features are entirely free. Booking user-hosted events and using the anonymous city and campus feeds is free. However, being part of this new collision campus and receiving highly-curated invites from our AI is paid. The AI handles the rest.
